If you think installing bike lanes on Broadway is important, why do you think so? How about bike lanes with a protective barrier? Comment below, we need reasons to tell the planners. Of the 3-mile Broadway corridor redesign, only .4 miles north of Tuleta/Pershing is proposed for bike facilities, as of yet undecided design.
The planners are saying there are parallel routes cyclists can take. Based on our surveys of cyclists, bike lanes on Broadway is the most requested project.
Final design is scheduled for November of this year. This is an old article but I couldn't find another good article with more recent information.

We are now in the system as a 501c3! Thanks so much to Adam Sabrin of http://howellandsabrin.com. He got it done in about 6 weeks at a much lower cost than others quoted. We are also about to reach 1000 FB likes! We have some exciting projects coming up, and our general meeting soon, stay tuned!

Nice work everyone! I just got this message they will be adding bike parking to the parking garages! Thanks for sending the emails! Thanks Councilwoman Ana Sandoval!

"Councilwoman Sandoval received confirmation from San Antonio Transportation & Capital Improvements that 60 bike racks, or 10% of the parking spaces in the garage, will be located near the Tuleta Garage. In addition to this additional bike parking, more bike racks will be added with the expansion of the Witte Garage.

With the implementation of these bike racks, the Councilwoman hopes that this will encourage more individuals to explore alternative methods of travel and steer away from one-person-one-vehicle transportation."

The city is voting today on details of the Tuleta parking garage. Please sign this letter to get bike parking here. We are also requesting to establish a policy to install bike parking in all new garages built, as well as a minimum number of racks for each street block. It takes just a couple clicks of the mouse!
